Over 100 racers joined the Turkey Trot, and 30 toddlers took part in the Toddler Trot. The Toddler Trot had two categories: one for kids aged 3 and under, and another for those aged 5 and under. The race route went along sidewalks, ending near the school's track. Participants received free T-shirts, lunch, and prizes. Redmond celebrated the opening of Shepherd’s House Ministries’ 46-bed low barrier homeless shelter on November 2.

It's the city's first official low-barrier shelter, providing relief for the homeless community as winter approaches. The shelter, located at 1350 South Highway 97, will house residents starting November 15. Bethlehem Inn, Redmond’s only transitional shelter, closed temporarily for a new independent living program, reopening in January alongside Oasis Village, another housing project. The new shelter has 24 beds for men, 12 for women, and space for families. It offers meals, bathrooms, showers, and a common area. City officials, including councilor Kathryn Osborne, attended the ribbon-cutting, expressing confidence in the shelter's positive impact. Linda Cline, Redmond’s housing program analyst, said she is confident people will see the difference the new shelter will make on the community.
