Exciting Terminal Expansion Plans Unveiled by Redmond Municipal Airport

In a recent announcement, Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) has revealed captivating design concepts for its upcoming terminal expansion project. Shared on the airport's official Facebook page, these proposed renderings provide a sneak peek into the future of travel in Redmond.

The images, displayed on social media, are meant for size visualization purposes, with the airport clarifying that the white elements in the designs signify scale. RDM assures the incorporation of numerous local design elements, prominently featuring wood, to reflect the region's aesthetic essence. Moreover, passengers can anticipate breathtaking views as part of their terminal experience.

The renderings vividly portray an extension of the terminal towards the north, a development that will significantly augment the airport's current layout. Notably, an internal rendering caught the attention of keen observers, showcasing the removal of the familiar curved ramp utilized by passengers post-security checks. This conventional feature is being replaced by a contemporary, non-curved ramp located on the opposite side, promising improved accessibility and convenience for travelers.

Anticipated to commence by the conclusion of summer in 2024, the construction phase of this ambitious project has generated considerable excitement within the local community. Redmond Municipal Airport's innovative terminal expansion endeavors to enhance the overall travel experience, setting new standards for comfort, aesthetics, and efficiency in air travel. Stay tuned for more updates as this transformative journey takes flight.

Federal Court Dismisses Save Arnold Canal Lawsuit, Allowing Canal Modernization to Proceed

A recent federal court ruling has dismissed a lawsuit brought by the Save Arnold Canal (SAC) group, allowing the Arnold Irrigation District (AID) to continue its Main Canal Water Conservation Project. The lawsuit, initiated in 2022 against AID and federal agencies, alleged violations of environmental laws. After a series of legal actions, the court ruled in favor of AID, stating that transitioning the canal to a piping system is necessary for water provision and would benefit the community. AID officials expressed satisfaction with the decision, emphasizing their commitment to modernizing canals for sustainable water resources and environmental conservation in the Deschutes Basin.

Events for Wednesday November 1st

💖Jaime is an older kitten, very shy when she arrived, but has blossomed in her foster. She seems ok with mellow dogs, the only cat she was around was her mama. She is sweet, observant, low key, enjoys being petted, but not a snuggly kitty, and independent. She enjoys lying in the sun in her window sill and watching nature. She’s an easy companion. A calm home is wanted for Jaime.
